2 A New Author: Ruobing!

My friend, Ruobing, has now joined this blog! She loves being creative as much as I do, and we're both really excited about this new partnership, because this is one of our common interests. You'll be seeing more of her soon, but here's a short introduction from her so far.

Hello, there!

Thanks for hanging on to this blog! I know it's gotten very tough and annoying to follow me at times... I mean seriously: from Paint Explosion at blogger to Colourful Decorations at wordpress to Colourful decorations at blogger again! Again, thank you for continuing to read my posts. Thankfully, now, I'm stuck on blogger for good!

So, how are you guys liking the new template? I personally think it is absolutely amazing, from the apple social media icons (my favourite part) to the super cute grab button. Much thanks to Olivia, who is an extremely talented designer (you can visit her at her book blog, Fictionally Obsessed, or her design shop, Book Bird Designs). Even if you don't want a template makeover, she also offers freebies :)

Because of this new template, I'll definitely be staying on blogger! I mean, what a waste! I just love the it. So, see you around ;)

0 Doodle 4 Google

Hello!

Now the winner for the doodle 4 google competition (Canadian, of course) is up! I competed in this competition, too, but I didn't get anything. However, I do think the winning doodle of the contest is very nice. Here it is! You can also find it on the homepage of google.

This year's theme is inventions, and the creator of the winning doodle is Cindy Tang, from Dr. Norman Bethune C.I. in Toronto, in grade 12. Her drawing is called "Sea Telescope." It is supposed to be a telescope that can see all the way to the bottom of the ocean, which, according to her, we've only uncovered five percent of. Here is Cindy's description of the doodle.

"I would invent a telescope that would show us the depth of the sea (all of it). I've heard we've discovered less than five percent of the ocean with 95 per cent still left unseen by human eyes."

I personally have a great fascination with marine animals, since that is, really, where we come from. Naturally, this doodle was intriguing to me. I do love the brilliant colours, and the cute fish. I especially think the way the letters of google were modified is very clever. This design is amazing.

Hello, everyone!

I'm just a regular art girl who wants to share some creativity with the world. This is the first blog I've ever tried to write. I'm going to be putting some of my art ideas into this blog.

On this blog, you'll find most of my projects recorded, as well as some insight into drawing apps, materials, and those types of art mediums! This site is going to help me keep track of what I've done, and (hopefully) inspire others, too.

I really honestly hope that this blog is successful, and helps many others find their own creative spark inside them.
